A Prayerful Noise

I'm preparing for a half day retreat that I'm co-leading with our minister tomorrow morning called A Prayerful Nosie: Sound, Music, and the Spiritual Life.  Here is a blurb from the St. Thomas Episcopal Church website about it: "In the beginning, sound burst into the silence, and the world was created.  In many religious traditions, and as C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien imagine the Christian Tradition, this sound was a spiritual music that formed the pulse of the universe.  For the Book of Revelations, we are likewise destined for a heavenly choir where we intone the joy of heaven.  We come from sound and music, we journey toward music, and music accompanies us along every step of the way."  I'll let you know how the retreat turns out tomorrow.  Wish me luck!
